The life of a Red Harvester Fire Ant (Pogonomyrmex Occidentalis), is consistently
driven by parameters. Their purpose is
to work. To work, is to survive. Human
societal expectations would dictate we function in school, then choose a life’s
career when barely an adult… so that we can work to retire from a job we may
hate, and then try and accept that our body is too tired to enjoy the independence. However, there are some who look up from the
drudgery, and see a way toward ambiguous freedom. There is purpose in working, and helping a
society progress, but there is fulfillment in creativity and adventure. We can
have both.
